About the festival

Jangsu is the top producer of Hanwoo beef and apples in the country. The Jangsu Hanwoo and Apple Festival, which started with its first festival in 2007 and will reach its 20th in 2026, is a historic and prestigious red color festival in South Korea. Particularly, starting from 2024, it will expand its offerings from the existing Hanwoo and apple agricultural specialties to include Jangsu red foods (Hanwoo, apples, omija, tomatoes), and has broadened the festival's scope to include processed products such as apple beer, apple soju, apple bread, and omija liquor, elevating it from South Korea's first red color festival to the first red food festival, enhancing its status as a major cultural tourism festival in the country.
