How to dispose of it
- Separate easily removable meat and food scraps from the bones and check the food-waste instructions for those scraps.
- Sort hard bones as general waste and use the local paid general-waste bag.
- Pack sharp ends carefully so they do not tear the bag or injure someone handling it.
Before you put it out
- Do not put large leftover bones into the food-waste bin. For scraps where bone and meat are difficult to separate, check the local detailed guidance.
- Meat trays, absorbent pads and film must also be separated from bones and food scraps.
