How to dispose of it
- Collect shards without handling them with bare hands. Do not drop loose pieces into ordinary bottle-glass recycling.
- Wrap sharp edges with thick paper or similar protection and clearly identify the package as broken glass.
- Use the non-burnable sack, bag or separate collection method specified locally for the quantity and size.
Before you put it out
- Wrapping the pieces does not mean that any general-waste bag is acceptable; the local bag or sack requirement still applies.
- Check bulky-waste instructions for large mirrors or panes that cannot fit safely in the prescribed container.
