How to dispose of it
- Remove leftover food, sauce containers, film and any liner from the box.
- Separate clean cardboard from sections soaked with grease or food.
- Recycle only the clean paper sections and follow local general-waste instructions for the soiled parts.
Before you put it out
- Keep the whole box out of clean paper recycling if it is heavily wet or contaminated throughout.
- A box with an inseparable plastic coating or insulating layer is different from plain cardboard; check local guidance.
