About the festival

This festival is centered around garlic and Korean beef, which are representative agricultural specialties of Namhae-gun. The festival is held at the Namhae Exile Literature Museum, with five parking lots nearby. Visitors can explore and purchase Namhae-gun's agricultural specialties in one place. It is prepared by Namhae-gun farmers and fishermen, and both residents and tourists can enjoy it together. It started as a consolation party for residents after the busy farming season in May and has recently become known as a representative festival of Namhae-gun, attracting many visitors. There are unique and diverse zones such as the main stage zone, festival theme hall, Korean beef sales zone, garlic sales zone, agricultural specialty sales zone, experience zone, and family zone. Various events include a surprise auction show, garlic braiding contest, opening ceremony, World Cup street cheering, and a harmony song festival. Visitors can taste Namhae-gun's premium Korean beef, known for its good texture and flavor, at a 20% discount. Garlic is sold with a price cap, allowing farmers to set their own prices, and free delivery service is supported. A shuttle bus circulates between the parking lots and the festival site every 15 minutes for the convenience of tourists.
