About the festival
The 2026 Ground Forces Festival is the largest military cultural festival in South Korea hosted by the Army, aimed at promoting the development and future policies of the Army to the public, enhancing trust in the military, and spreading positive values as a non-profit event for public interest. It will be held for five days from October 1 (Thursday) to October 5 (Monday) at the runway of Gyeryongdae in Chungnam. This year marks the 22nd edition of the 2026 Ground Forces Festival, themed 'The Republic of Korea Army Protecting the Daily Lives of the People,' featuring exhibitions and ride experiences of the latest ROK-U.S. combat equipment, demonstrations of Army TIGER+ and drone bots, and opportunities to directly experience various aspects of the changing Army and AI-based advanced combat systems at the Army Policy Promotion Center. Additionally, attendees can enjoy a variety of high-quality military cultural performances, including military band and honor guard shows, Taekwondo demonstrations, military police MC mobility demonstrations, performances by Army performance teams, and a road parade.
