About the festival
Ham-an dried persimmons are famous for their taste and aroma, traditionally offered to the kings during the Joseon Dynasty. Ham-an sweet persimmons are the lightest in weight compared to other varieties, but they are the sweetest and most aromatic when they ripen. The premium Ham-an dried persimmons, crafted with the pure winter winds of Ham-an and the breath of Arakaya, boast excellent taste, aroma, and texture, making them some of the best dried persimmons in the country. The dried persimmon singing contest is the highlight of the festival, where singers from all over the country gather to create a lively atmosphere. Participants can release their hidden talents during the winter, and winning a prize is even better, making it a true festival gathering with participants.
