About the festival

The Hyeonchungsa Moonlight Night Festival is a nighttime cultural festival set against the backdrop of Hyeonchungsa, imbued with the spirit of the great general Yi Sun-sin. It features a special program that harmonizes the historical significance of the space with modern lighting effects. This year, instead of the usual autumn nights, it will take place in the spring, showcasing new nighttime content in a softer and more vibrant seasonal atmosphere. The performances, exhibitions, and experiential programs that unfold along the beautifully illuminated nighttime scenery convey the unique charm of Hyeonchungsa in a deeper way than during the day, providing visitors with an opportunity to enjoy a different cultural experience. Additionally, various experiential programs will create an open festival space where people of all ages can participate, offering a meaningful night where history, culture, and light come together harmoniously.
