About the festival

The 2026 Jijunghae Village Cultural Festival is a cultural arts festival taking place on October 31, 2026, throughout Jijunghae Village in Tangjeong-myeon, Asan-si, Chungcheongnam-do. Under the theme “Blooming Day – Art and Markets in the Alleys,” it features a variety of programs, including cultural arts activities, a flea market, and street performances, making use of the village’s alleys and streets. Major programs include the Temagolmok Stamp Tour, Jijunghae Village Flea Market, street parade, street theater, and busking performances. The Temagolmok Stamp Tour runs through five alleys, including Painter’s Street, Treasure Street, and Courage Street, and offers activities reflecting the character of each alley, such as urban sketching, caricatures, craft workshops, and Odyssey-themed games. The flea market is planned to feature 42 stalls, with local businesses and outside vendors participating, centered around Parthenon-gil. A marching band parade, street theater, busking performances, and a food zone will also be held. The festival makes use of Jijunghae Village’s existing alleys and commercial spaces as venues for cultural arts and activities. It is a local cultural festival in which local merchants and visitors participate together.
