About the festival
The Mulgeum Cherry Blossom Festival is held annually from late March to early April during the blooming season, centered around Hwangsan Park, the largest riverside park along the Nakdong River, and the cherry blossom road that follows the railway of Mulgeum Station. It is a family healing festival that anyone can enjoy, aimed at revitalizing the local economy. The festival, which started on a small scale led by the residents of Mulgeum-eup, has expanded in size and has been held as the city's representative festival since 2024. Various exhibitions, experience programs, and outdoor resting areas will be richly arranged in the area around Hwangsan Park along the Nakdong River, as well as the cherry blossom road. Notably, the cherry blossom road will temporarily restrict vehicle access to allow visitors to walk freely and enjoy their outing, and the walking path will be beautifully illuminated at night.
