About the festival
The Daejeon International Special Effects Film Festival is the only domestic film festival specializing in special effects, operating based on Daejeon's special effects industry infrastructure by linking creation, technology, and industry sectors. Major programs include the DFX OTT Awards, which highlight the achievements of special effects in domestic video content; the DFX Screening, which consists of screenings of special effects works followed by discussions with the audience; the DFX Tech Show, which shares trends in AI and VFX technology and related industries; and the DFX Pitch, which discovers special effects feature projects. The DFX OTT Awards is an award program that highlights the achievements of special effects technology and expression in domestic OTT content. The DFX Screening showcases works utilizing special effects and facilitates discussions between directors, actors, production staff, and the audience about the works. The DFX Tech Show introduces video production technologies and industry status, including AI and VFX. The DFX Pitch is a program that discovers special effects feature projects and provides opportunities for collaboration with production and industry professionals.
