Yuseong Reading Festival

About the festival

The 2026 Yuseong Reading Festival is a regional representative reading culture festival held in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon Metropolitan City, designed to allow participants to enjoy books, culture, and relaxation outdoors. It aims to provide a special time for healing the body and mind through communication with neighbors via books, offering a brief escape from busy daily life. The festival is organized with diverse cultural programs to ensure that visitors of various age groups, including families, friends, and couples, can spend meaningful leisure time. Notably, a large reading area harmonized with nature is created in an open outdoor space, and literary experience booths and multipurpose related exhibitions are operated, allowing anyone, regardless of age or gender, to participate freely. Additionally, various side events themed around books, such as meetings with famous authors, book talk concerts, reading appreciation events, and a book market featuring local bookstores and publishers, will be held. The 2026 Yuseong Reading Festival serves as a key cultural exchange platform that goes beyond simple reading, helping citizens rediscover the joy of reading in their daily lives and contributing to the establishment of a healthy reading ecosystem in the local community.
