About the festival
The razor clams, primarily caught from December to March around Namdang Port and Cheonsuman, are very plump and large, marking their peak season. Razor clams are characterized by their chewy texture and mild umami flavor, rich in nutrients such as protein, iron, taurine, and essential amino acids, making them a favorite among many. The Razor Clam Festival is held throughout the winter and attracts many tourists.
