About the festival
The Contemporary Artist Project 'Iwan - I Write' produced by the Yesului Center is an exhibition that reinterprets traditional Korean calligraphy in the language of contemporary art. The artist Iwan explores new possibilities of calligraphy by combining letters, images, painting, and engraving based on brush and ink. It goes beyond merely appreciating beautiful writing and demonstrates that writing can be an art form for self-expression through the question 'Why do we write?'. This exhibition allows visitors to experience the new possibilities of calligraphy where tradition and modernity meet.
