About the festival
2,000 years ago, the sea route that Queen Heo traveled from the Indian kingdom of Ayutthaya to Gaya comes alive in brilliant light. The 3rd Gimhae Light Festival 'Voyage to the Light' will be held at Gimhae Gaya Theme Park from August 14 to 23, 2026.·Voyage·The story leading to the encounter with Gaya will be presented through light sculptures, illuminations, media art, and photo zones. You can walk along the path of light resembling the blue sea and night sky, experiencing the special connection between Gaya and India. On weekends and holidays, there will be a local food zone, a regional creator art market, and jazz.·Fusion Korean Traditional Music·An acoustic outdoor performance will be added. The opening event on August 15 will feature Ogomu, a K-POP drone performance, and a multimedia fireworks show with over 3,000 fireworks lighting up the night sky. The festival will operate without breaks from 5:20 PM to 10 PM, with the last entry at 9 PM, and the admission fee is 2,000 won per person. You can experience a special summer night in Gimhae where light, history, performances, food, and art come together.
