About the festival

The Daejeon Jung-gu Night Tour of National Heritage is a night cultural festival that connects modern cultural heritage and alleys of the old downtown area around the former Chungcheongnam-do Office. Various programs featuring light, stories, performances, experiences, and markets are operated against the backdrop of local national heritage sites such as the former main building of the Daejeon Chungcheongnam-do Office, Daeheungdong Cathedral, and the former Chungcheong branch of the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service. The core of this night tour is to not only view cultural heritage but also to allow visitors to naturally experience the history and culture of the old downtown, discovering the charm of Daejeon Jung-gu's old downtown where the past and present coexist through walking, listening, seeing, and participating. It is a sustainable local cultural festival that expands the experience and enjoyment of national heritage into everyday life and connects nearby commercial areas and cultural spaces, adding new vitality to the old downtown.
