About the festival

The Night Exercise Challenge in Busan is a specialized community sports program aimed at encouraging citizens who are not accustomed to exercise or have little interest in physical activity to easily and enjoyably participate in recreational sports activities. It aims to expand citizen participation in recreational sports, promote health, and create a vibrant nighttime leisure culture. This event is hosted and organized by Busan Metropolitan City.·It is a citizen participation event designed to utilize outdoor spaces such as parks and waterfront areas representing Busan, allowing citizens to enjoy recreational sports regularly under the moonlight on autumn nights. The main program consists of various recreational sports activities led by famous fitness influencers, including gymnastics, yoga, circuit training, Zumba, and children's exercise. Additionally, the event features performances in recreational sports such as Taekwondo, jump rope, boxing, and cheerleading, as well as cultural performances including magic shows, comedy, busking, and concerts. There will also be a citizen fitness center, a fitness king competition, Tabata,·spinning challenge, and random play dance challenge, making it a festival-type event where citizens can directly participate and enjoy various engaging activities. The event venue operates health-related experience booths such as archery, basketball, bowling, golf, fitness assessments, exercise prescriptions, taping, and pain care, and it is an event where various experience programs are prepared for family participants to join together. This citizen-participatory sports festival aims to lower the barriers to entry for citizens regarding exercise by combining performances, participation events, and family experience content into the sports program, thereby expanding opportunities for participation in everyday sports.
