About the festival
The 3rd Chudo Island Film Festival is a community participation film festival held on the beautiful Chudo Island in Tongyeong. This festival is created together with the island village residents and artists, providing a unique experience of enjoying films under the sound of waves and the starlit night sky. It features residency films made by directors who stay directly on Chudo, as well as short and feature films themed around 'nostalgia' and 'nature' screened in an outdoor theater by the night sea and indoors. In addition to film screenings, various programs are offered, such as 'Iba-gu Trekking' where participants walk with residents to hear island stories, 'Seasonal Seafood Sunset Dining', and 'Talk with the Audience (GV)' where filmmakers and viewers communicate. It is a warm and open film festival that rediscover the unique landscapes and emotions of the island through the medium of film, allowing residents, audiences, and filmmakers to freely mingle.
