About the festival

The Book Festival is a representative book festival of Cheonan-si where reading, experience, and play come together, collaborating with reading-related institutions such as libraries, clubs, bookstores, and publishers. It operates as a reading cultural event that all citizens can enjoy, featuring meetings with authors, performances, experience booths, side events, and an outdoor library. This event will take place at the Sunken Square of Cheonansamgeori Park, with an opening ceremony, a reading award ceremony, family musical performances, and ensemble performances. In the outdoor library, visitors can relax comfortably under the autumn sun while reading books. Meetings will also be held with Han So-gon, the author of 'Gochujang Delivery,' selected as the Book of the Year 2026 for Cheonan-si, and Lee Seo-su, the author of 'Geurae, Dance.' Additionally, various reading experience activities can be enjoyed at 16 experience booths and 13 bookstore and publisher booths. Admission is free.
