About the festival
*The food content for the Hagi Festival is based on the previous year's (2025) festival details, and the 2026 festival details are currently being updated.* The Gimhae Buncheong Ceramics Festival is a pottery cultural festival held in Gimhae, a representative production area of Buncheong ware from the early Joseon period. It showcases the value of traditional pottery culture, reinterpreted in a modern way, making it a representative festival of Gimhae. Celebrating its 31st year this year, the Gimhae Buncheong Ceramics Festival features a variety of programs including exhibitions and sales of works, pottery-making experiences, and pottery demonstrations, allowing visitors to appreciate the unique beauty and artistic quality of Gimhae's Buncheong ceramics up close. In particular, visitors can enjoy distinctive works by local potters in one place, and through hands-on experience programs where they can touch the clay and create pottery, they can experience the charm of Buncheong ceramics in a more accessible and enjoyable way. Additionally, programs such as experiences, performances, and events for children and families are prepared, making it a participatory cultural arts festival that everyone, regardless of age or gender, can enjoy, ensuring that traditional pottery culture continues as a part of everyday life.
