About the festival
The 26th Sancheong Herbal Medicine Festival is a herbal and wellness festival held based on the value of the Donguibogam, a UNESCO World Documentary Heritage, and the pristine natural environment of Jiri-san. It introduces the history and culture of traditional Korean medicine in the Donguibogam Village area and operates various content such as experiences, exhibitions, and performances themed around health and healing. The festival is designed to allow participants to directly experience anti-aging and healthy lifestyle culture through themed programs such as Sancheong Hyeminseo, My Body's Herbal Medicine Experience, and the Herbal Wellness Center. Additionally, it prepares unique local food and cultural performances, as well as family participation programs, making it a cultural event that people of all ages can enjoy together. It serves as a platform to introduce Sancheong's herbal medicine and herbal resources, as well as health and healing tourism resources, to both domestic and international audiences. Furthermore, it aims to expand content for foreign tourists and strengthen overseas promotion to inform the world about Sancheong's herbal culture, aspiring for the Sancheong Herbal Medicine Festival to develop into a global festival sought after by people beyond Korea.
