About the festival
The Cheonan Heungtaryeong Dance Festival is a festival that has continued for 23 years since its first event in 2003. It has been selected as a cultural tourism festival by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism a total of 8 times and has been designated as a regional representative performing arts festival for 6 consecutive years. Additionally, it has been designated as an honorary cultural tourism festival since 2020 and has been selected as the highest grade 'Ilpum Festival' for 2 consecutive years in the Chungcheongnam-do 'One City, One Product Festival' evaluation. The 'Cheonan Heungtaryeong Dance Festival 2026' will be held for 5 days from October 1 to October 5, 2026. During the festival period, various dance-related programs such as a national dance competition, a world dance competition, and a street dance parade will take place. It is an urban global dance festival operated in the urban area of Cheonan Sports Complex and Cheonan Samgeori Park.
