About the festival
The Hansan Mosi Cultural Festival is a representative eco-friendly traditional fiber festival of South Korea, held to widely promote the historical and excellent value of 'Hansan Mosi Weaving,' a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. It takes place every June at the Hansan Mosi Center in Seocheon-gun, with the slogan 'Hansan Mosi, the Ancient Future,' aiming to rediscover the 1,500-year history of Hansan Mosi and pass it on to future generations. Through programs such as the Jeosanpaleup Gilssam Play, Hansan Mosi School, Mini Loom Experience, Hansan Mosi History Hall, local art performances, and Starlight Walk, the festival showcases the charm of Hansan Mosi, blending tradition and modernity, nature and culture, establishing itself as a connecting cultural festival.
