About the festival
The 26th Milyang Performing Arts Festival, which has established itself as a representative summer performing arts festival in the country, will be held for 12 days from July 21 to August 1 at Milyang Arena, Milyang Arirang Art Center, and various locations in Milyang. Selected as the second phase of the 'Local 100' by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Milyang Performing Arts Festival, which was previously centered around Milyang Arena, is now planned under the slogan 'The City as a Stage, Everyday Life as a Performance,' significantly expanding the performance spaces to include Milyang Arena, Arirang Art Center, Eoreumgol, and other areas in Milyang, allowing citizens and tourists to naturally encounter performances in their daily lives. During the festival period, a total of 86 diverse performances and rich events will unfold. From warm stages that encompass generations to innovative immersive performances that boldly break down the barriers between the stage and the audience, various theatrical attempts that blur the boundaries between the audience and art are expected to take place against the backdrop of Milyang's beautiful nature and urban spaces.
