About the festival
In spring, from May to June, the Ggolgap Festival is held at Janghang Port in Seocheon-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, hosted by the Seocheon Fishermen's Association. At the festival site, various fresh sashimi will be available, along with tasting events to promote Seocheon's excellent seafood, which will be offered at affordable prices through sales of seafood and dried fish from our cooperative. Additionally, a riverside sashimi café is operated where visitors can enjoy chewy sashimi while overlooking the Geumgang River from Janghang Port. Driving along the Coastal Road, which stretches about 10 km from the Dong-Seocheon Tollgate, visitors can see the Janghang Smelter's chimney, Noli-Park, Hansan Shinsungri Reed Field (a filming location for JSA), and Hansan Moshi Museum, making the Ggolgap Festival a highly anticipated event with multiple benefits.
