How to dispose of it
- Before disposal, transfer anything you need and take care of account data, personal information, SIM and memory cards.
- Treat the phone as an electronic device and locate an accepted small-electronics or phone return route.
- Confirm that the collection point accepts phones and any accessories, then follow its handover instructions.
Before you put it out
- You do not need to dismantle the phone's embedded battery. Keep the device out of general-waste bags and packaging recycling.
- Apartment and community-centre collection points may accept different items; do not assume that every bin accepts phones.
