About the festival
The 2026 Geumjeongsanseong Festival, which embodies the value of Geumjeong-san newly designated as a national park in 2026, will be held for three days from October 16 (Friday) to October 18 (Sunday) at Geumjeongsanseong Plaza and the surrounding area. It is a historical, cultural, and artistic festival based on Geumjeongsanseong, the representative cultural heritage of Geumjeong-gu in Busan, and the largest fortress in South Korea, as well as the national park Geumjeong-san, held annually to commemorate the construction of Geumjeongsanseong. Starting from the Geumjeong Arts Festival in 1996, the Geumjeongsanseong Festival presents various programs that showcase the new charm of Geumjeong, blending the ecology and nature of the national park Geumjeong-san with the history and culture of Geumjeongsanseong.
