About the festival

The Samgang-Naru Tavern Festival, representing the Chuseok holiday, is a festival enjoyed by returning visitors and guests against the backdrop of the last tavern in South Korea, Samgang Tavern. The 2026 Yecheon Samgang-Naru Tavern Festival will be held from September 25 to 27 for three days at the Samgang Cultural Complex, themed 'The Tavern Reopened, the Vibrant Samgang.' Based on the history and culture of Samgang Tavern, which served as a resting place for porters and travelers crossing the river in the past, the festival will feature a performance by actors dressed as porters, tavern keepers, hunters, and merchants, along with participatory programs such as the Samgang Golden Bell, Typing Test, and Slow Mailbox that explore the history and culture of Samgang. Additionally, there will be experiences such as making dalgona, shooting, spinning wheel and hanbok experiences, and a kids' zone, as well as performances by local artists, busking, and children's shows. The festival also includes related events like Haeboraejangteo and Meokgeo-ri Food Zone, where visitors can meet local agricultural and specialty products and handicrafts.
