About the festival
The Yecheon International Smartphone Film Festival, now in its 8th year, is a film festival that invites submissions of films and videos shot with smartphones, selects award-winning works through a judging process, and holds an awards ceremony on October 9 (Saturday) along with a film festival that residents can enjoy. Launched in 2019 in the city of Yecheon, Gyeongsangbuk-do, which boasts a natural environment, the Yecheon International Smartphone Film Festival (hereafter YISFF) symbolizes Yecheon and has become a representative smartphone film festival nationwide, transcending Gyeongbuk. By creating films with smartphones that 'anyone' possesses, it has brought a fresh and new breeze in line with the times.
