About the festival
This is the representative festival of Goryeong County, which has a long history and allows you to learn and enjoy the unique history and culture of Daegaya. In 2025, with the designation of Goryeong County as a historic city of Daegaya, the value of Goryeong County, which holds the history and culture of Daegaya, has been significantly elevated. Additionally, the discovery of the Great King pottery at the moat of the Goryeong Daegaya Palace site has proven that Daegaya was a powerful ancient kingdom, and with the designation of the Jisan-dong Tombs as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the history and culture of Daegaya are important heritages of our history that must be preserved and shared with future generations. The 2026 Goryeong Daegaya Festival will be held under the theme 'Daegaya Reborn: RE-BORN', aiming to elevate the pride of Goryeong County, designated as a historic city, through the festival.
