About the festival
The Gijang Anchovy Festival, celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, will be held at Daebyeon Port, where visitors can enjoy the vitality of seasonal anchovies brought by the spring breeze. This year, a dynamic culinary program and special cultural events will showcase the flavors and traditions of Gijang's sea. Highlights include a fishing boat experience to enjoy the ambiance of Daebyeon Port, free tastings of anchovy sashimi, and a lively seafood surprise auction. The festival will also feature a parade and commemorative performance celebrating the 30th anniversary, along with a maritime fireworks show lighting up the night sky. Additionally, various experience programs that all generations can enjoy, such as barehanded fish catching, the Gijang Anchovy Song Festival, and an EDM party, will take place throughout the festival period.
