About the festival
The 2026 Chajun General Nokuk Princess Festival is a representative spring festival of Andong, held mainly in the old downtown area as a traditional folk culture festival. It utilizes various spaces such as Jungang Line 1942 Andong Station, Talchum Park, and Culture Street, operating as a stay-type festival where local residents and tourists can participate and enjoy together. It features programs that combine traditional performances from Korea and abroad with modern content based on Andong's unique folk culture, such as Andong Chajun Play and Andong Nottari Walking. Additionally, the festival promotes the inheritance of traditional culture and revitalization of the local economy through various participatory content such as parades, experiential events, and exhibition and sales booths.
