About the festival
The 2026 Unica Korea International Film Festival is sponsored by Gyeongsangbuk-do, Gyeongsan-si, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Korean Film Council, and will be held on October 17 (Saturday) and 18 (Sunday) for two days at CineQ Daegu Gyeongsan Hall 3. Unica is an international film organization established in 1931 to support peace and friendship among humanity, as well as international understanding and cultural exchange, in accordance with UNESCO principles. Unica Korea has been hosting the international film festival annually since 2014 with the approval of the World Federation. This festival aims to avoid violent and sensational films and screens beautiful films that can provide inspiration and lessons to people. The public interest corporation "Yeonghwaro Sesangeul Areumdapge," which organizes this film festival, holds the festival every year to discover and promote beautiful films that influence happiness of the heart and good character.
