About the festival
The 2026 Gijang-gun Pet Culture Festival is a festival of communication and harmony where pets, their guardians, and local residents come together. This year marks the third edition of the festival, themed 'Happy Coexistence with Pets,' offering a richer and more diverse program that provides a special time for pet owners and non-pet owners to enjoy and learn about proper pet culture. Notably, this year features the 'Pet Companion Walking Competition,' where pets and their guardians walk and interact together, as well as 'K-Pet Got Talent,' where talented pets from across the country gather to showcase their hidden skills and talents. Additionally, various experience, education, and participation programs will be offered to share the joy of being with pets, as well as the importance of respecting life and responsible pet culture. Gijang-gun, where the festival is held, continues its efforts to create a community where people and animals can be happy together by promoting pet culture and enhancing animal welfare. This festival also aims to establish a mature pet culture and foster communication and coexistence among community members through programs that allow pets and their guardians to participate and enjoy together.
