About the festival
This is a special cultural event that showcases Korea's World Heritage, Intangible Heritage, and World Documentary Heritage in one place to commemorate the 48th UNESCO World Heritage Committee meeting held in Busan. The event, taking place in July 2026 at Busan BEXCO, will present a variety of programs based on the theme 'The Value of Korea's Heritage Recognized by the World.' The exhibition space will start with themed halls introducing 17 World Heritage sites in Korea, followed by exhibitions of World Documentary Heritage, media art exhibitions of national heritage, and immersive experiences for visitors through campaign activities. Additionally, on-site programs will include a reenactment of the changing of the guard from the Joseon Dynasty and performances and demonstrations of intangible heritage that allow visitors to feel the breath of artisans, along with a 'K-Goods Shop' where visitors can encounter traditionally designed souvenirs, providing rich content for global visitors to experience national heritage more closely.
