About the festival
2026 East Asia Cultural City Andong is an international cultural exchange project aimed at enhancing mutual understanding and cooperation among the cities of Korea, China, and Japan through diverse programs throughout the year. The opening event, held from May 1 to May 5, features a ceremony with traditional performances and congratulatory shows from the three countries, along with various participatory programs such as East Asian traditional games, a traditional food fair, and cooking classes, allowing citizens and visitors to directly experience East Asian culture. Additionally, the project aims to share the cultural characteristics of the four cities from the three countries through promotional booths, expanding the platform for East Asian cultural exchange.
