About the festival
From October 2 (Friday) to October 4 (Sunday), the 'Gaeunajagaejangteo Festival' will be held for three days in the Gaeun-eup area of Mungyeong-si. Based on the warm market atmosphere of Gaeunajagaejangteo, visitors can enjoy food, experiences, performances, and exhibitions all in one place. On the eve of the festival, October 2 (Friday), the 'Mistrot4 Gala Show' will take place, and on October 3 (Saturday), singers representing the 8090 generation will perform in the 'Time Capsule Concert.' On the last day, October 4 (Sunday), there will be a 'Children's Big Show' for children and family visitors, providing a time for the whole family to enjoy together. In particular, this festival will feature a receipt event linked to the surrounding commercial area to revitalize the local economy, allowing visitors to experience menu tastings using Mungyeong's medicinal stone pig by famous chefs. Additionally, there will be a 'Gaeun Coal Mine History Photo Exhibition' reflecting on the coal mining history of Gaeun, which played a significant role in the country's coal industry, showcasing photos of past miners at work and the life in coal mining villages, allowing visitors to vividly feel the important history that supported South Korea's industrialization and economic growth.
